VP Wholesale Lending Operations

Role Overview: You will be joining Barclays in a role where you will set up and lead teams supporting multiple aspects of the Lending lifecycle, such as Loan Servicing, Loan Trading & Closing, servicing coordination, facilitating complex client onboarding, data management, and quality control. Your team will be responsible for the operational oversight of the closing and servicing of all loan transactions of the business division being supported to ensure all internal and external requirements are met. This role will require a high degree of engagement with multiple stakeholders, business partners, across different business functions and groups while building and maintaining relationships with leaders and their teams. You will support continuous improvement of the operational process and the development of Best Practice. Additionally, you will suggest ideas to improve systems and processes where necessary, evaluate the benefits and risks of such proposals, and act as a Subject matter expert proactively contributing to team performance through maintaining a flexible approach to tasks, providing input to continuous improvement, and being receptive to change. You will also support Audit activities, external controls & checks using comprehensive knowledge of Lending processes, products, and activities including pre-sanction conditions, monitoring & controls, documentation etc. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage an effective organization consistently meeting service standards in the commercial/wholesale Lending Operations in the India GCC space. - Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, negotiate, and influence across many levels. Demonstrate domain knowledge of Lending Products and services. - Apply project and change management disciplines with a strong application of continuous improvement best practices. - Have knowledge of legislation affecting the Bank and clients including the Data Protection Act, Consumer credit, Companies Act, Insolvency Act, Financial Services Act, Money Laundering, KYC, and confidentiality regulations, Sarbanes Oxley, and Basel. - Be familiar with systems like ACBS, and Loan IQ. Qualifications Required: - Demonstrated success in managing commercial/wholesale Lending Operations. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey ideas/results to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience in managing senior stakeholders and domain knowledge of Lending Products and services.
