Position Overview
This role involves providing proactive and reactive technical support in a Voice/VoIP Network Operations Center (NOC) environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in telecom support, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a 24/7 setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for voice and telecom-related issues, including VoIP, TDM, and call routing systems.
- Handle service issues related to 8YY, 8XX, and 1+ telecom services.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
- Monitor network alarms and take prompt action based on defined escalation procedures.
- Detect and manage telecom fraud in alignment with security protocols.
- Maintain accurate records in the support ticketing system.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
- Deliver high-quality communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Stay informed about evolving telecom technologies to provide effective support.
- Contribute to the development of documentation and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (technical or related field preferred).
- 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in NOC, telecom, or technical support roles.
- Solid understanding of VoIP and TDM technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Proficient in SIP troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark or similar applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a neutral accent.
- Comfortable working in night shifts and rotational shifts as per global business needs.
- Must be willing to commit to a 2-year service agreement.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in SIP-based telecom environments with exposure to CDR and trace analysis.
- Understanding of wholesale telecom product offerings.
- Familiarity with call center metrics and performance standards.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be based in Pune and available for in-person interviews.
- Flexibility during peak work periods is expected.
