Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and experienced Vice Principal to assist in leading the academic and administrative operations of our school. The ideal candidate will be a visionary educator with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for nurturing students and empowering teachers. The Vice Principal will work closely with the Principal to uphold the school’s vision, maintain discipline, ensure academic excellence, and support the holistic development of students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Leadership:

  • Assist in curriculum planning, implementation, and review across all grades.
  • Monitor teaching standards and student outcomes; support teachers in instructional improvement.
  • Coordinate academic timetables, assessments, and progress reporting systems.
  • Encourage the integration of technology and innovative practices in teaching.
  • Lead and mentor subject coordinators and teachers toward achieving school goals.

Student Development & Discipline:

  • Uphold and enforce school rules and student discipline policies.
  • Promote student well-being, attendance, and behavioral standards.
  • Guide student leadership initiatives, co-curricular programs, and value-based education.
  • Oversee student counseling and inclusive education practices.

Staff Support & Administration:

  • Facilitate teacher evaluations, classroom observations, and professional development.
  • Assist in recruitment, orientation, and training of staff.
  • Maintain effective communication between staff, students, and parents.
  • Support the Principal in school audits, inspections, and compliance requirements.

Strategic Involvement:

  • Participate in policy-making and strategic planning with the school leadership.
  • Represent the school in the absence of the Principal, when required.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including educational authorities, training providers, and the community.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Educational Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Education or relevant discipline (M.A. / M.Sc. with B.Ed. or M.Ed.)
Higher educational leadership certifications preferred.

  • Experience:

Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role (as Coordinator, Head of Department, or Vice Principal).

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of English – both verbal and written
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Conflict resolution and decision-making capacity
  • Visionary thinking aligned with the school’s philosophy
  • Technologically proficient in educational tools and communication platforms
