Job Description

Position Summary: The Vice Principal is responsible for supporting the Principal in the overall administration and academic operations of the school, ensuring effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum, promoting high academic standards, maintaining discipline, and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment. The role also involves mentoring staff, engaging with parents, and helping build a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Academic Leadership Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing the implementation of the CBSE curriculum across all classes. Monitor lesson plans, classroom teaching, and student assessment procedures to ensure alignment with CBSE standards. Support and lead school improvement initiatives and academic planning. Coordinate and oversee internal and CBSE board examinations. Administrative Support Assist the Principal in daily school operations, including scheduling, staff deployment, and supervision. Oversee the maintenance of school records, compliance with CBSE and statutory regulations. Coordinate with administrative staff for the smooth functioning of the school. Staff Management Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff. Help plan and conduct professional development programs for staff. Resolve conflicts and encourage collaboration and innovation among staff. Student Discipline and Well-being Maintain and enforce discipline and a positive school culture. Address student behavioral issues and coordinate counseling when necessary. Promote a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all students. Parent and Community Engagement Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and the community. Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and external communications. Address parent concerns and foster positive relationships with all stakeholders. Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Education or a related field (B.Ed. or M.Ed. mandatory). Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. Deep understanding of CBSE norms, examination procedures, and academic practices.
