Job Description

As a Vice President Statistical Reporting at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of the digital landscape and drive innovation and excellence. Your role will involve harnessing cutting-edge technology to revolutionize digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory reporting processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, you will lead a team to produce accurate and timely reports, enhance the understanding of regulatory requirements, and implement strategic initiatives to improve reporting efficiency and effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality and efficiency of regulatory reporting processes. - Collaborate with various departments, including Finance, IT, and Compliance, to ensure seamless integration of reporting systems and processes. - Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and ensure timely updates to reporting practices. - Provide guidance and support to the team in resolving complex reporting issues and challenges. - Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure effective communication and collaboration. - Conduct regular reviews and audits of reporting processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. - Ensure the team is well-trained and equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. Qualifications Required: - Extensive experience in regulatory reporting, preferably within the banking or financial services industry. - Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards, particularly those related to the Bank of England. - Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is highly valued. - Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or similar are a plus. - Experience with data management and reporting systems. - Knowledge of statistical analysis and reporting techniques. The purpose of the role is to manage the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting. Your accountabilities will include management of the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, development of internal controls, implementation of financial policies and procedures, and more. As a Vice President at Barclays, you are expected to contribute to setting strategy, drive requirements, manage policies, deliver continuous improvements, and escalate breaches of policies/procedures. You will advise key stakeholders, demonstrate leadership, manage and mitigate risks, and collaborate with other areas of work to achieve business goals.
