Reporting To: Chief Technology Officer

Position Overview:

UTIITSL is seeking a Vice President IT to drive application development, automation, and the business implementation of next-generation technology solutions. The role will focus on leveraging AI/ML, process automation, and digital platforms to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

The role will also be involved in aspects of infrastructure management, cybersecurity practices, and information security, ensuring technology initiatives are business-aligned, secure, and future-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead application development, modernization, and implementation of business-driven IT solutions.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML, automation, and advanced analytics to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer engagement.
• Partner with business leaders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, innovative IT solutions.
• Oversee digital transformation initiatives, including workflow automation, platform integration, and e-governance tools.
• Provide oversight on infrastructure management and cloud strategy to ensure high availability and scalability.
• Strengthen information security and data protection practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support IT governance and risk management frameworks, working closely with the CTO and leadership team.
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure seamless technology delivery.
• Build and mentor strong application development and IT project teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12 -15 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing application development and business IT implementation.
• Proven expertise in automation, digital platforms, AI/ML adoption, and enterprise applications.
• Broad exposure to infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and information security practices.
• Experience in BFSI, e-governance, or other regulated sectors preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading IT transformation initiatives in complex environments.
