Vehicle Integration Manager

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities1. Product Design & Development

• Lead

  concept design, layout, and detailed design

   of:
• Backhoe Loaders
• Articulated Wheel Loaders
• Loader & Backhoe attachments (Buckets, Dippers, Arms, Shovels, Tanks)
• Develop

  SPM and customized solutions

   as per customer and application requirements.
• Support

  new product development

  ,

  export models

  , and

  variant development

  .

2. Structural Design & Calculations

• Perform and validate

  engineering calculations

  , including:
• Loader & Arm breakout force
• Lift capacity
• Cycle time & speed
• Hydraulic pump power
• Tractive effort, drawbar pull & rolling resistance
• Design and validate

  fabrication structures

   using:
• Welding calculations
• Bolt & fastener design
• Buckling & strength calculations
• Support

  FEA and strain gauge validation

   for critical structural components.

3. Vehicle Integration & Packaging

• Responsible for

  vehicle integration and packaging layout

   of off-road vehicles.
• Integrate

  engine, transmission, hydraulics, chassis, and attachments

  .
• Resolve

  packaging, assembly, and serviceability issues

  .

4. Prototyping, Testing & Validation

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for

  prototype development

  .
• Support

  prototype assembly

  , identify assembly issues, and implement design corrections.
• Participate in

  testing, validation, and durability improvement activities

  .

5. Localization & Technology Transfer

• Lead

  localization of global products

   to Indian manufacturing.
• Work closely with

  international teams

   for

  technology transfer

   and design adaptation.
• Optimize designs for

  cost, manufacturability, and local sourcing

  .

6. Field Failure Analysis & Product Improvement

• Analyze

  field failures and line issues

  .
• Implement

  design improvements

   for reliability, durability, and performance.
• Drive

  VA/VE and cost-reduction initiatives

  .

7. Documentation & Standards

• Create and maintain:
• 3D models, detailed drawings & GD&T
• EBOM / MBOM in ERP/PLM systems
• Prepare and review

  DFMEA

   documents.
• Ensure compliance with

  ISO, IS, DIN, AISI, SAE standards

  .

8. Cross-Functional Leadership

• Coordinate with:
• Manufacturing
• Quality
• Suppliers
• Testing & Validation teams
• Provide

  technical guidance and mentoring

   to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• 15–20+ years

   of relevant experience in:
• Off-road vehicles
• Construction & material handling equipment
• Hydraulic attachments and SPMs

• CAD Tools:

   SolidWorks, Creo, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, IronCAD

• ERP/PLM:

   SAP (PP01), BOM management

• Engineering Knowledge:

• Structural design
• Hydraulics & cylinders
• Fabrication & welding
• Vehicle performance calculations

• Standards & Quality:

   DFMEA, GD&T, International Standards

Preferred Experience

• Experience in

  Backhoe Loaders & Articulated Wheel Loaders

• Exposure to

  export market requirements

• Experience in

  localization of global products

• Hands-on involvement in

  prototype build & testing
