About the job
Be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. You'll contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Our team combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences. We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make computing faster, seamless, and more powerful. We aim to make people's lives better through technology.
Responsibilities
- Work with pre and post-silicon teams to develop, simulate, and validate goal tests and provide documentation of the pre and post-silicon validation tests and ensure it is easy to use.
- Work with internal cross-functional teams, external silicon partners, and intellectual property (IP) vendors to functionally validate and parametrically characterize the silicon, including bare-metal, kernel, drivers, and real-time operating system (RTOS).
- Design Google's future products by owning bench level design validation and characterisation for High Speed Serial Interfaces (e.g., USB3.2, USB-DP, PCIe etc.).
- Characterize IP specific Signal Integrity, Power Integrity and Protocol validation test cases to evaluate IP performance at various operating conditions (i.e., voltage, process, temperature).
- Automate test cases using scripting languages like Python or Perl to improve efficiency and test coverage.
