Job Description

As an experienced UX Manager at Arcadis, you will have the opportunity to lead and scale a high-impact team while contributing to large-scale design initiatives and elevating design maturity across a global organization. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for combining individual design contribution with team leadership and people management. Your main focus will be ensuring high-quality design work from the India-based UX team, while also helping the team grow, thrive, and stay aligned with broader strategic goals. Additionally, you will work closely with the Global UX Director to implement the UX strategy in India and bridge the gap between UX, product management, business analysis, and technology. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contribute hands-on to product design, from research and ideation to detailed UX/UI design and delivery. - Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and feedback to the India-based UX team to support individual and team growth. - Collaborate with the Global UX Director to implement strategy, processes, and design standards. - Bring a systems-thinking approach to connect insights, components, and patterns across products for consistency and scalability. - Work with product, business, and tech partners to embed UX across the product lifecycle and influence product direction. - Champion evidence-based design practices and evolve the design system for coherent, scalable design. - Strengthen UX culture through design critiques, co-creation, and cross-team learning. - Support hiring and onboarding as the local UX team expands. **Qualifications & Experience:** - 10+ years of UX or product design experience, with at least 2 years leading or mentoring teams. - Bachelor's degree in Design, Industrial Design, Digital Media, or a related field. - Experience in designing enterprise-level or data-intensive applications. - Strategic mindset connecting design outcomes to business and user impact. - Skilled systems-thinker understanding how design patterns scale across products. - Confident communicator and facilitator, influencing across functions and levels. - Experience working with distributed, cross-regional teams and collaborating across time zones.
