User Experience Specialist

Job Description

To define and improve the User Experience (UX) of our web-based accounting application in a way that enhances speed of use and discoverability for users, while maintaining reasonable aesthetic quality. UX Definition for Developers: Establish clear UX patterns, components, and behaviors. Document workflows and interaction models for typical use cases (e.g., data entry, report generation, navigation between modules). Provide annotated wireframes or prototypes. Storybook Reference Setup: Collaborate with frontend developers to set up a design reference in Storybook, covering key UI components. Ensure the Storybook includes examples of common states (default, loading, error, success). Maintain alignment with accessibility and responsive design best practices. Interface Review & Improvement Plan: Audit the existing interface for: Speed of Use : Minimize clicks, reduce loading time, support keyboard shortcuts and autofill where appropriate. Discoverability : Ensure that key features are intuitively accessible and actions are clearly labeled. (Secondary) Aesthetics : Apply a consistent visual language using modern but unobtrusive UI styling.
