US Tax Reviewer

Job Summary:

The US Tax Reviewer will be responsible for reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns prepared by the tax team. This role ensures accuracy, compliance with IRS regulations, and adherence to client requirements. The reviewer will also provide guidance to preparers, identify process improvements, and support high-quality tax deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review US federal, state, and local tax returns (Corporate, and partnership) for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure tax filings comply with IRS regulations and state-specific tax laws.
• Identify errors, discrepancies, and recommend corrections before final submission.
• Provide feedback and technical guidance to tax preparers and junior team members.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve client queries and address escalations.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Ensure documentation and work papers are properly maintained for audit readiness.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/EA preferred).
• Strong knowledge of IRS rules, US federal and state tax compliance.
• Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH, GoSystem, Drake, UT, Proconnect or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills to provide clear feedback to team members.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
