US Tax Reviewer

Roles and responsibility:

• Oversee the preparation and review of individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041).
• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring their development and performance.
• Coordinate workload distribution, ensuring timely completion of tasks and compliance with tax laws.
• Serve as the primary contact for escalated client issues and complex tax matters, including international tax filings (Forms 1120F, 5471, 5472, 8865).
• Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to benefit clients.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and ensure the team is informed and compliant.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead/Managers to set departmental goals and objectives.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and evaluation of tax staff.

Competency Skills:

• Years of Experience with U.S. Federal Income Taxes.
• Familiarity with 1040, 1065, 1120-S, 1120 and 706/709 Series returns.
• 2+ years reviewing tax returns prepared by others iii. 2 + years supervising junior accountants.
• Extensive experience with individual and business tax forms, including international tax components.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
