Job Responsibilities

Mortgage Underwriting :-

• Review forms, disclosures, and documentation to validate information and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Track compliance-related questions and requirements.
• Work closely with underwriters on denial reasons and denial codes.
• Collaborate with loan officers, area managers, and team members to provide guidance on regulatory requirements.
• Strong understanding of ECOA (Regulation B) and FCRA, including related disclosure mandates under the Dodd-Frank Act.
• Take action on applications and notify applicants as per Regulation B notice requirements.
• Validate accuracy of denial codes.
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting policies and guidelines.
  

Mortgage Servicing :-

• Provide customer service by building trust and understanding customer circumstances to offer appropriate solutions.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
• Prepare correspondence such as payoff letters in alignment with bank policies.
• Coordinate with solicitors, settlement agents, brokers, indexing teams, credit teams, and others to ensure timely loan payoff and related processes.
• Perform data entry related to direct debit instructions, customer information updates, loan amendments, refunds, etc.
• Manage payments for construction loans, including inspections, valuations, schedules, and related email actions.
• Handle security title release processes post-loan discharge.
• Apply additional discounts on variable loans as directed by product teams.
• Update and verify customer and security information in relevant systems.
• Investigate and resolve queries related to loan accounts, applying loan features as requested.
  

Qualifications

• Any Graduate
• Relevant experience in US Mortgage Underwriting or Mortgage Servicing preferred
