Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Determine annual targets for Entire Branch in coordination with Regional Manager:
  • Working out plan of action to achieve targets set for given branch, by developing sales quotas for his team members.
  • Projecting expected sales volume and selling prices for all product lines. Compare set targets and projected sales numbers to determine if the branch can deliver more than the set sales targets.
  • Assign product wise volume and pricing and also industry & customer specific targets for all product lines to sales team.
  • Take ownership of his Sales team targets.
  • Assign individual accounts and territories between the Sales Team.
  • Analyzing trends and results of the sales in given area; establishing pricing strategies; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand for Products and Consumables in assigned areas.
  • Analyze IB business in assigned area, find out opportunities to increase it.
  • Provides support to Branch Service Manager, BDM, ASM, Sr./ Sales Engineer in order to achieve Installed Base Revenue targets for service, filters, comprehensive warranty, and spares.
  • Developing new opportunities by identifying customer requirements; , Should keep a track on competitor's market share, competitor's strengths and weaknesses; and focus on increasing market share.
  • To meet marketing and sales financial objectives, should be able to forecast requirements and then prepare a monthly and quarterly plan of action to achieve targeted revenue and activities. Regularly analyze variances in plan of action and initiate corrective actions.
  • Taking daily and weekly reporting from sales team on planned activities versus actual activities.
  • Tracking activities of sales team members and ensure no discrepancies compared to set plan of action.
  • Collaborate with RM, RSM, and BSM to revive or regain all dead accounts or pirated accounts.
  • Ensuring Timely Payment and Form C collection of every sales.
  • Co-ordinate with Marketing Communications Manager and Director - Marketing to plan, develop, and implement new promotional and trade show programs along with expenses and budgets for the same.
  • Provide Competitors activity feedback to the top management instantly.
  • Regularly update competitor knowledge on Products and new market developments.
  • Improves product marketability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities and applications; Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Ensure that the customers regularly attend Trainings and Seminars on new features of existing products as well as new products.
  • Follow-up regularly with Sales Co-coordinator at H.O. & Factory for timely execution of customer orders.
  • Manage Customer Base Effectively by keeping a track on service issues of customer. If issues have not been resolved for more than 15 days escalate it to Regional Head.
  • Collaborates with Branch Service Manager, ASM, BDM, Sr./Sales Engineer to understand customer satisfaction of all accounts and if customer is not satisfied understand reason whether due to technical, service, or commercial issues.
  • Flags all unresolved issues to Regional Manager and also Regional Service Manager and collaborates and provides support to RM, RSM, BSM, ASM, BDM, Sr./Sales Engineers in order to permanently resolve these customer issues. And implement a proactive approach to avoid such similar complaints from other customers.
  • Responsible for outlining and reporting customer dissatisfaction of all key, large, and high potential accounts on regular basis to RM & RSM, even after above steps are taken for further action and support should approach the National Managers.
  • Manage Key Accounts by meeting the customer on a regular basis. Sustain rapport, explore specific needs anticipate new opportunities.
  • With co-ordination with Marketing team plan activities for Key accounts. Having them participate in our new features training and seminars.
  • Performs sales activities on his major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with Regional Manager.
  • Conducting monthly meetings with every individual member of branch team to determine past months actions and focus areas and individual work plans for upcoming month. Same plan to be shared with RM on quarterly basis.
  • Based on daily and weekly reporting with sales team, plan out improvement activities if required for any team member.
  • Regular tracking and monitoring field activities of sales teams. Know their whereabouts with help of tracking applications.
  • Maintain performance results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Accompany Team members on Sales Calls. Provide direct support by spending significant time with each individual member in field sales visits every quarter.
  • Ensuring effective performance of sales team both quantitatively & qualitatively as per company guidelines.
  • Assist sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with decision-makers and top management of target customers.
  • Provide technical, commercial, and other guidance to sales team members. Train them In the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses, and business/financial issues on contracts.
  • Manage Conflict if any, and if require involve superiors to resolve it. Maintain the spirit of team work among team members.
  • Coordinates proper company resources required from outside his branch to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Ensuring timely employment confirmations, appraisals, leave approval procedure, deputations procedures of team members.
  • To provide his own daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and plan to Regional Manager.
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring 100% adherence to statutory & legal compliances of branch.
  • Will represent the Company in court and government offices for any legal/statutory matters pertaining to the branch.
  • Reviews expenses and recommends economies. Optimize travel cost & other expenses for the branch.
  • Accomplishes marketing and sales human resource objectives as per the direction of the Companys HR Team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Provides quarterly and annual results assessments of sales staffs to Regional Manger, National Sales Manager and HR team.
  • Protects organization's value. Accomplishes organizational mission by completing tasks not related to above requirements as and when required by the Company.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed as per the direction of other RMs, Key Account Manager, National Sales Manager, and other BMs, in order to service National Accounts, Key Accounts, and reference accounts.
  • Provide feedbacks on marketing and sales information, strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Escalate to Regional Manager, any perennial issues of the branch from time to time.
  • Drive SAP implementation at the Branch Level.
