Unit Manager

As a Claims Unit Manager at Mrald (Mphasis's dedicated UK Insurance operational services delivery vehicle), your main responsibility is to lead the day-to-day activities of a Claims team. You will ensure the delivery of an effective and high-quality Claims service for the business while meeting agreed SLAs & KPIs. Additionally, you will support the Claims Manager in providing strategic leadership and overseeing improvement initiatives for the Claims function as a whole. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and lead the performance and running of a Claims team - Ensure the team possesses the necessary knowledge, skills, and cultural requirements to perform their roles effectively - Deliver services in accordance with agreed SLAs & KPIs - Manage operational reports such as Diaries, ECF outstanding, Static Claims, Open Movements, and SharePoint management - Handle day-to-day people management of the Claims Team - Allocate work to the team and ensure each item is processed within SLA - Monitor the progress of work and team productivity - Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders - Support and embed operational and strategic business changes into team processes - Work on Claims-related projects including transformations, transitions, and system enhancements - Ensure adherence to company compliance, policy, risk management, and audit requirements - Support training and assessment exercises as assigned Qualifications Required: Must have: - At least 6 years of experience in the commercial insurance industry and claims processing team - Good understanding of London Market Specialty insurance - Very good communication skills and MS Office knowledge - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred: - Leadership experience with strong technical knowledge of FCA GI regulation - Professional Insurance industry qualification and university degree - Basic understanding of risk management principles - Experience in working with automated assisted processes and quality standards awareness,
