You will be responsible for meeting S&D targets by effectively implementing area sales & development plans. You will develop sales forecasts for all categories based on trends and define the allocation of sales targets to different territories. Developing a channel sales strategy for the assigned geography in consultation with your manager will be crucial. It will be your responsibility to plan and achieve distribution expansion as per budget plans and ensure that distributor claims are settled in a timely manner by proper scrutiny and on-field verification. Retaining the agreed ROI for the distributors will also fall under your purview. Your role will involve implementing a sales strategy to achieve targets through the analysis of Nielson & internal data of various markets. You will need to develop a distribution strategy in line with the changing channel mix and track the availability of required manpower at DBs as per the plan. Monitoring their performance and highlighting deviations to your Manager Sales will be essential. Additionally, you will execute and track distribution expansion by class of towns, type of OLs, and category as per the plan, taking corrective actions as necessary. Ensuring distributor MIS packages are executed and requisite compliance from distributors is achieved within agreed timelines will also be part of your responsibilities. Building trust and relationships with Modern Trade and the Company by providing clarity and solutions to any raised issues within a reasonable timeframe is crucial. Your close collaboration with Regional Trade Marketing / Key Account teams in managing schemes, promotions, and contests to promote the company brand will play a significant role in your success. You will also be expected to execute specific promotions such as exhibitions, sampling, in-store activities, etc., in Key A/Cs and plan for new product launches by channel based on a thorough understanding of category and distribution objectives.
