Job Description

Transport Lead oversees and manage transportation-related operations

Main responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute transportation strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Optimize routes, manage vehicle fleets, and ensure timely deliveries.
Team Management:
- Lead and supervise transportation teams, including drivers, dispatchers, and logistics staff. o Set performance targets, provide training, and foster teamwork.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Create and manage transportation budgets.
- Monitor expenses, fuel costs, and maintenance expenditures.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations o Implement safety protocols and preventive maintenance procedures.
Client Relations:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their transportation needs.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any issues promptly.
Route Optimization and Efficiency:
- Analyze transportation data to improve efficiency. o Optimize delivery routes and reduce transit times.
Vendor Management:
- Work with transportation vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers and suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills Required:

Bachelors degree in Business Management.
Proficiency in transportation systems, logistics, and regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
