About the Project:

The project pilots sustainable land management and value chains, promoting organic farming, addressing certification, building farmer capacity, and linking produce to global markets. It aims to create scalable models for sustainable farming, resource management, and livelihood opportunities.


We are hiring for the following role:Training & Capacity Building Specialist:

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in training & capacity building.
  • Experience in designing training modules, including training inputs and methodologies, in organic agriculture and allied sectors.
  • Familiarity with Grower Group Certification Systems, Internal Control Systems, and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Familiarity with training monitoring, reporting, and outcome assessment.
  • Experience in similar assignments in the Northeast region of India is an added advantage.


Education

  • Postgraduate degree in Agriculture/Agri-Business Management/ Biological Sciences, or related fields.


Roles/Responsibilities

  • Conduct training needs assessments and design customized capacity-building interventions for farmers and field staff.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on organic farming, certification processes, ICS protocols, and project guidelines.
  • Create high-quality training manuals, modules, presentations, videos, skits and resource materials.
  • Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, and exposure visits to strengthen practical learning.
  • Monitor, document, and report training activities, ensuring timely submission to stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update a training content calendar for structured execution.
  • Ensure proper filing and record-keeping of training-related documents for internal use and external audits.
  • Collaborate with project teams, government departments, and external agencies for seamless coordination of training activities.
  • Contribute to the overall project objectives by aligning training with farmer mobilization, certification, and market linkage goals.
