Subject Matter Experts for Organic Farming Adoption: 18 months Experience : For Master's degree holders: Minimum 2 years of experience in organic farming and/or its certification process. For Bachelor's degree holders: Minimum 4 years of post-degree experience in agriculture, including 2 years in organic farming and/or its certification process. Desirable qualifications: Experience in agriculture and allied sectors, with knowledge of organic product marketing. Familiarity with Grower Group Certification Systems, Internal Control Systems, and efficient documentation for internal and external audits. Education : Master's or Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Biological Sciences/Business Administration in Agri-Business Management. Roles/Responsibilities : Assist in organic certification for farmer organizations as per NPOP/PGS/Meghalaya Organics. Conduct meetings, site inspections, monitoring, and training. Motivate farmer groups and liaise with resource institutions and certification bodies. Maintain records, provide technical guidance, and train farmers on organic practices and inputs. Manage ICS documentation, inspections, and ensure compliance with NPOP norms. Facilitate market linkages and train ICS staff and farmer organizations. Ensure proper record-keeping for all certification-related processes and compliance. FPC Manager – Tura (Agriculture Background) Tura 2 - 3 years INR 2.4 - 3.0 Lacs P.A. Remote Full Time

The Role: This is a field-based managerial role that requires close coordination with Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) across the Tura district. The FPC Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and effective market linkages. Key Responsibilities: · Oversee and manage all FPCs operating in Tura district under the project. · Ensure timely documentation, compliance, and error-free reporting within defined deadlines. · Facilitate production planning, aggregation, and marketing of farmers’ produce. · Support and advise on value-added products and income diversification for farmers. · Assist in capacity building of FPC CEOs, Board of Directors, and LRPs through regular handholding and training. · Manage basic HR functions within FPCs and ensure smooth functioning of field teams. Competencies Required:Knowledge: · Good understanding of FPO/FPC operations, agricultural marketing, and compliance procedures. · Familiarity with value chains, organic practices, and farmer-level challenges. · Strong documentation and reporting skills.
