Trainer - Junior Software Developer

Job Summary:

The Trainer – Junior Software Developer is responsible for delivering hands-on training in core software development concepts to students or early-career professionals. The trainer will focus on building strong programming fundamentals, practical coding skills, and industry-ready competencies aligned with current market requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Delivery

• Deliver training strictly as per approved QP, NOS, and course curriculum.
• Ensure adherence to Common Norms and SSC guidelines.
• Conduct theory and practical sessions aligned with learning outcomes.

2. Technical Training

• Train candidates in:
• Programming fundamentals (Python / Java / C / C++)
• Object-Oriented Programming concepts
• Basic Data Structures and Algorithms
• Introduce:
• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Basic debugging and testing practices
• Version control fundamentals (Git)

3. Practical & Hands-on Learning

• Conduct lab sessions, coding exercises, and assignments.
• Guide learners through SSC-aligned practical tasks and projects.
• Ensure minimum practical-to-theory ratio as prescribed.

4. Assessment & Certification Support

• Prepare candidates for:
• SSC Theory & Practical Assessments
• Mock assessments and internal evaluations
• Maintain assessment readiness documentation.
• Support SSC-appointed assessors during assessments.

5. Candidate Engagement & Mentoring

• Mentor candidates on:
• Professional behavior and workplace ethics
• Communication and employability skills (as per NSDC module)
• Provide individual feedback and performance improvement plans.

6. Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain:
• Attendance records (biometric/manual as applicable)
• Batch-wise training reports
• Session plans and lab records
• Ensure compliance with SSC, and State Skill Mission audits.

7. Placement & Industry Orientation

• Support placement readiness activities:
• Resume preparation
• Interview basics for junior software roles
• Coordinate with placement teams as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Educational Qualification

• B.E / B.Tech / BCA / MCA / B.Sc (CS/IT) or equivalent.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Python/Java preferred).
• Understanding of:
• OOP principles
• Databases (MySQL / basic SQL)
• Web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript – basic level)
• Familiarity with IDEs and development tools.

Languages Known: English, Hindi & Assamese
