Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Blacksmith Trainer to deliver training sessions to students/trainees in forging, metalworking, and related traditional and modern blacksmithing practices. The trainer will be responsible for developing practical skills, instilling safety awareness, and guiding learners towards industry-relevant competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver theory and practical sessions in blacksmithing as per prescribed curriculum/sector skill council guidelines.
• Train students in metal forging, shaping, tempering, heat treatment, welding, and tool handling techniques.
• Demonstrate proper use of anvils, hammers, tongs, furnaces, grinders, and other blacksmithing equipment.
• Maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing safety standards and workshop discipline.
• Prepare training materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
• Evaluate trainees through practical tests, projects, and theoretical assessments.
• Provide mentorship and support to enhance the employability skills of learners.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Submit regular training progress reports and documentation as required by the organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualification:

• ITI/Diploma/Certification in Blacksmith/Forge/Metalworking discipline.

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in blacksmithing/metal forging/fabrication.
• Prior experience in training/teaching/apprenticeship supervision preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of blacksmithing techniques and metallurgy basics.
• Excellent demonstration and communication skills.
• Ability to engage trainees with diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to safety, discipline, and professional ethics.
