Thingworx Developer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.

Develop end-to-end development of web & IOT solutions on the ThingWorx platform.

Design and implement ThingWorx entities including Things, ThingTemplates, ThingShapes, DataShapes, Services, and Mashups.

Integrate external systems using REST APIs, MQTT, OPC-UA, and Kepware - integration with legacy system like ERP, SAP would be appreciated.

Create dynamic dashboards, reports, real-time visualizations.

Develop and maintain custom JavaScript services, workflows and server-side logic.

Optimize performance and ensure the scalability and reliability of applications.

Implement security best practices and data governance across the ThingWorx environment.

Participate in troubleshooting, issue resolution, and support activities.

Required Skills:

Candidate should have 5 years of total exp and 3+ years of PTC ThingWorx experience

Strong experience in PTC ThingWorx platform (9.x preferred).

Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, CSS, HTML, ThingWorx Mashups, Services, and Bindings.

Hands on with PostgreSQL/SQL Server, other relational DB’s, and writing database queries/services.

Good understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC-UA, REST, WebSockets).

Good understanding of ThingWorx best practices.

Experience with Kepware.

Hands-on with ThingWorx Composer, Mashup Builder, and ThingWorx Analytics.

Exposure to ThingWorx Extension Development using Java/JS (a plus).

Knowledge of edge computing, data modeling, and time-series data.

Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (good to have).

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or ThingWorx in cloud environments (good to have).
