Primary Job Title: Secondary English Teacher (CBSE)

Role & Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned to NCERT & CBSE learning outcomes for Grades 6-10.
Integrate grammar, literature, and communicative skills using activity-based and digital methodologies.
Design unit tests, formative assessments, and remedial plans; track progress in the school LMS.
Mentor students in debates, elocution, and creative writing clubs; prepare them for board and Olympiad exams.
Collaborate with house parents to support residential life, discipline, and socio-emotional well-being.
Attend PTMs, in-service trainings, and accreditation audits; uphold school safeguarding and HSE policies.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have
B.A./B.Sc. with English plus B.Ed., TGT certification recognised by CBSE.
3+ years of secondary English teaching experience in a CBSE or ICSE school.
Proficiency in lesson planning, Bloom s Taxonomy, and classroom technology (Smart Boards, Google Classroom).
Fluent spoken and written English with strong classroom management.
Preferred
Background in residential schools or pastoral care.
Cambridge or IB workshop certifications, TESOL advantageous.
Working knowledge of NEP 2020 pedagogical approaches and experiential learning.
