Job Description – Testing Engineer (Electro-Medical Devices)

Position: Testing Engineer

Location: Mohali Sector 82

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Testing Engineer with expertise in electro-medical devices to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring compliance of medical devices with applicable standards and regulations. The role involves hands-on testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the safety, reliability, and quality of our medical devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional, performance, and safety testing of electro-medical devices as per defined protocols.
• Perform electrical safety testing, EMC/EMI testing, and environmental testing in compliance with IEC 60601 and other applicable standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, protocols, and documentation as per regulatory requirements.
• Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with the R&D and production teams.
• Ensure all devices undergo calibration, validation, and verification before release.
• Support the regulatory and quality assurance teams in product certification and compliance activities.
• Maintain test equipment, tools, and laboratory environment in good condition.
• Continuously monitor and suggest improvements in testing methods and quality processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Biomedical Engineering,
• 2–5 years of experience in testing electro-medical or medical devices (freshers with strong knowledge may also be considered).
• Strong knowledge of IEC 60601 series standards, ISO 13485, and medical device regulations.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers, safety analyzers, and environmental chambers.
• Good understanding of biomedical device functionality, safety, and risk management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
