Test Engineer

Role Overview: As a test engineer with over 6 years of experience, you will be responsible for performing testing activities for a project and implementing industry standard testing best practices and innovations. Your role will involve working as the test engineer for development projects in both waterfall and agile environments. You must have sound knowledge of test management tools and experience in executing testing tasks using industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Perform test identification, test design, and test execution for development projects. - Participate in requirement gathering exercises and sprint planning sessions to collect requirements details. - Implement best practices in different types of testing including System testing, Regression testing, End to End testing, API Testing, and DB Testing. - Document test cases, defect reports, and status reports. Experience in writing test plans is a plus. - Utilize automation testing tools and have knowledge of performance testing and security testing. - Interact with customers to understand requirements, develop and execute test cases, and track defects. - Conduct testing of web applications, mobile applications, and APIs. - Perform Webservice testing using tools like Postman. - Attend Agile meetings, provide status updates, and resolve issues. - Adhere to organization's processes, procedures, and policies. - Identify and implement technical innovations to improve applications and work processes. Qualifications Required: - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong team orientation. - Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving. - Ability to quickly learn new testing tools and technologies.
