Test Engineer - EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert+ Gen AI)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality and performance of our EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert (PME) software. The ideal candidate will have experience with the device domain knowledge, Modbus protocol preferably, Wireshark must be known. effectively test and validate product.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement test plans and test cases for EcoStruxure PME based on system specifications.

· Execute various types of testing, including functional, regression, load, and acceptance testing.

· Identify, analyze, and document software defects and collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

· Configure and maintain test environments, including setting up devices and communication protocols.

· Monitor real-time power consumption data from various electrical equipment and analyze power quality metrics.

· Utilize advanced power forensics features to identify the root cause of power events, such as voltage sags, harmonics, and power surges.

· Generate detailed test reports and provide feedback to project teams.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

· Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements and potential issues.

• · Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing to ensure ongoing product quality.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Test Engineer,

· Strong knowledge of electrical systems and power quality principles.

· Proficiency in using testing tools and software for power monitoring systems.

· Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850.

· Experience with devices like ION meters, and other power monitoring equipment is preferred.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to generate clear and concise test documentation and reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

· 5 -7 yrs. Experience in testing with at least 2-3 yrs. in industrial automation systems.

· Knowledge of test management strategies and practices.

· Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.
