Position Overview:
The Territory Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing production operations within an assigned territory, ensuring that output meets quality, cost, and delivery standards. This role requires strong leadership, process optimization, and people management skills to scale production in alignment with business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Operations Management
Lead end-to-end production planning and execution within the territory, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Prepare and monitor production schedules, allocate resources effectively, and ensure timely completion of orders.
Manage capacity utilization across plants/units, balancing workloads to optimize output without compromising on quality.
Ensure uninterrupted production by proactively coordinating with sourcing and supply chain teams for raw material availability.
Implement lean manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, Just-in-Time, etc.) to minimize waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
Introduce and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production activities to maintain consistency and reduce operational risks.
Monitor and control production costs, energy usage, and downtime; identify opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency improvement.
Deploy digital/tech-enabled monitoring tools to track real-time production data and generate performance dashboards for leadership.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, driving a zero-accident workplace culture.
Establish contingency plans for equipment breakdowns, supply chain disruptions, or workforce challenges to maintain business continuity
Quality & Process Excellence
Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to reduce defects/rework.
Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to standardize processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
Introduce and track KPIs (OEE, yield, downtime, cost per unit, etc.).
Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner with Sourcing & Supply Chain teams to ensure raw material availability.
Collaborate with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to align production with demand forecasts.
Work with Finance to control costs and improve profitability.
Liaise with Technology teams to adopt automation, digital monitoring, and reporting tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
3-6 years of experience in manufacturing/production operations, ideally in foundry, casting, metals, or allied industries.
Proven experience managing multi-site or territory-based production units.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen practices.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment with a hands-on approach
