Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Teradata Developer with a strong background in data warehousing to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Teradata-based solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize Teradata SQL scripts, procedures, and views.
Implement and maintain ETL processes using Teradata utilities (e.g., BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across data warehouse systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loads, queries, and performance.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Teradata development.
Strong proficiency in Teradata SQL and utilities.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, architecture, and best practices.
Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization in Teradata.
Familiarity with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, PowerDesigner).
Experience with Unix/Linux scripting is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
