Job Description

As a Technical Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising, guiding, and mentoring a team of infrastructure engineers and support staff. Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing technical leadership and acting as a point of escalation for complex infrastructure issues. - Conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, and identifying development opportunities for team members. - Overseeing the identification, diagnosis, and resolution of infrastructure-related issues such as servers, networking, and storage. - Ensuring that the team meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for response and resolution times. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure problems, escalating issues as necessary. - Implementing and managing monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of infrastructure components. - Ensuring proactive monitoring, alerts, and automated responses are in place to minimize downtime. - Performing regular system maintenance, patching, and updates to maintain a secure and reliable environment. - Providing ongoing support for critical infrastructure systems, optimizing them for performance, scalability, and reliability. - Identifying opportunities for improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of infrastructure systems. - Developing and implementing strategies to optimize network performance, reduce downtime, and improve system availability. - Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans and procedures for the infrastructure. - Ensuring that backups are regularly performed and disaster recovery tests are conducted. - Working with other teams to ensure business continuity plans are in place and effectively tested. - Ensuring the security of the infrastructure by applying best practices for firewalls, encryption, and access control. - Monitoring infrastructure for potential security vulnerabilities and addressing them promptly. - Working closely with cybersecurity teams to maintain the security posture of the organization's IT infrastructure. - Managing relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure the organization receives the best service and pricing. - Overseeing procurement processes for infrastructure hardware and software. - Evaluating new technologies and making recommendations on their adoption for infrastructure improvements. - Assisting in managing the infrastructure support budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. - Providing cost-effective solutions for infrastructure expansion or upgrades. - Monitoring infrastructure-related expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost reduction. - Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure integrated infrastructure solutions. - Communicating technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. - Participating in cross-functional meetings to discuss infrastructure requirements, improvements, and challenges. - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation on all infrastructure systems, processes, and configurations. - Generating regular reports on infrastructure performance, incidents, and improvements. - Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for infrastructure-related processes. Qualifications Required: - Graduation - Min 4 years of experience as a Technical Team Lead The work location for this full-time position is in Kolkata with a salary of up to 6.5 LPA. Immediate to 15 days notice period is required. The job type is full-time with benefits including Provident Fund. The work schedule may involve day shift or rotational shift.
