About the Role

Technical Sales Manager Drywall & Ceilings

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for drywall and ceiling systems in both project and retail segments.
  • Drive specification by engaging with architects, consultants, interior designers, and project management companies.
  • Manage and expand the retail/dealer/distributor network, ensuring strong product availability and market coverage.
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for consultants, contractors, and channel partners.
  • Provide design solutions, value engineering, and system recommendations tailored to project needs.
  • Work closely with contractors and installers to ensure correct application and execution of systems.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners.
  • Influence BOQs and ensure product inclusion in tender specifications.
  • Track competitor activity, market trends, and retail channel dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and performance reviews for management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Graduates, or Business Management (MBA preferred).
  • 7–12 years of experience in technical/project sales and retail channel management within drywall, ceilings, gypsum, or related building materials.
  • Strong exposure to retail/distributor/dealer networks in building materials.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets across project and retail channels.
  • In-depth knowledge of drywall partitions, false ceilings, acoustic solutions, and fire-rated/moisture-resistant systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office .

  • Channel Expansion: Number of new retail partners added.
  • Revenue Achievement: % of sales targets achieved (project + retail).
  • Project Pipeline: Number and value of active projects tracked.
  • Engagements: Consultant/architect visits, dealer meets, and training sessions.
  • Conversion Ratio: % of specified projects converted into executed sales.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Feedback from retail partners and key accounts.
