Role Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Techno-Commercial Sales/Business Development Manager to drive sales and business growth across India for our specialized products (rubber, silicone rubber, polymer composite insulators, and/or automotive components). The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical understanding combined with excellent commercial acumen and a proven track record in achieving sales targets. This role requires extensive travel and a self-starter attitude. Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Identify and target new business opportunities, prospective clients, and key market segments for our product portfolio (e.g., rubber components , silicone insulators , polymer composites , automotive parts ). Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets. Manage the entire sales cycle , from lead generation and initial contact to technical presentations, negotiation, and contract closure. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers by understanding their technical requirements and business needs. Techno-Commercial Focus Act as the primary technical liaison, providing product expertise and technical solutions to customers' engineering teams. Prepare and deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations and proposals tailored to client specifications. Collaborate closely with R&D and Production teams to relay customer feedback, market requirements, and support new product development or customization. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and product innovations in the polymer, rubber, and insulator/automotive space . Reporting & Management Accurately forecast sales, track performance metrics, and submit regular reports on sales activities, market intelligence, and progress directly to the Director . Manage a defined sales budget and ensure optimal resource utilization. Travel & Autonomy Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 60-70%) across India to meet clients, attend industry trade shows, and explore new territories. Self-motivated and capable of working independently, managing a demanding travel schedule, and prioritizing tasks to meet organizational goals. Required Qualifications and Skills Education & Experience Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Polymer Science preferred) or a related technical field. 1 to 3 years of proven experience in Techno-Commercial Sales or Business Development . Prior experience in the rubber, silicone rubber, polymer composite insulators, and/or automotive components industry is mandatory . Skills Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (both verbal and written). Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp product specifications and industry standards. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed ambitious sales targets. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Compensation & Reporting Reporting To: Director Compensation: Competitive base salary plus a robust performance-linked bonus (PLB) structure based on individual and company sales achievement.
