Technical Sales & Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

·        Assist in preparing detailed proposals and BOQs for ammonia and utility-based EPC projects.

·        Interpret RFQs, P&IDs, PFDs, and layout drawings for technical compliance and estimation.

·        Support layout planning, equipment sizing, and design coordination.

·        Coordinate with vendors for pricing, technical offers, and delivery timelines.

·        Prepare cost estimation sheets, material take-offs, and bid documents.

·        Collaborate with sales and engineering teams for proposal finalization.

·        Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

·        Maintain documentation, revision logs, and standard costing templates.

Technical Skills

·        Understanding of ammonia processes and EPC system integration.

·        Knowledge of fabrication drawings, tanks, pumps, piping, valves, and utilities.

·        Estimation and costing for mechanical/process equipment and piping systems.

MS Excel

·        Ability to read P&IDs, GA Drawings, and technical specs.

Soft Skills

·        Strong attention to detail and structured approach.

·        Effective communication for internal and client coordination.

·        Organized with strong documentation discipline.

·        Enthusiastic learner and collaborative team member.

Education & Experience

B.E./B.Tech.

·        5–8 years of experience in technical estimation, sales support, or proposals in the process industry.

·        Experience in ammonia or chemical plant EPC will be preferred.
