Key Responsibilities:

  • A Technical Sales Engineer bridges technical expertise and business development to drive sales of high-purity water systems. This role often requires

    extensive field visits

    to client sites, process facilities, and industry events/trade shows. It may also involve travel within assigned territories for business development and customer meetings. This role combines engineering knowledge, solution-oriented selling, and customer interaction to support the company's growth in regulated industries like pharmaceuticals & biotechnology.

Job Profile:

  • Generate and qualify sales leads for Hi-Purity Water Systems and related offerings.
  • To understand customer requirements and drive technical sales growth across south India.
  • Develop and manage technical sales of pharmaceutical water systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients (pharma & biotech segments).
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships across south India .
  • Provide technical expertise and solutions to customers in water treatment systems.
  • Work independently and manage sales pipelines.
  • Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers; follow up to close orders.
  • Conduct technical presentations and product demos to prospective clients.
  • Address client queries, technical objections, and support negotiations.
  • Manage key accounts and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Participate in exhibitions, industry events, and seminars to promote company offerings.
  • Monitor competitor offerings, market trends, and emerging technologies in high-purity water systems.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for internal review.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups.

Desired Profile:

  • Diploma Engineering / B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Chemical / Environment Engineering) with 3 to 6 yrs of experience in managing Technical Sales of High Purity Water System especially with Pharmaceuticals & Biotech companies.
  • Familiar with water purification principles, regulatory compliance for pharmaceutical/Hi-Purity Water systems
  • Technically competent and sales-oriented candidate with hands-on experience in pharmaceutical water systems and clean utilities.
  • Technical acumen:

    Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into engineered solutions.
  • Should be able to understand customer requirements and drive technical sales growth.
  • Should be well-versed with both Purified Water and Water for Injection process systems.
  • Knowledge of the customer base and industry contacts across south India.
  • The candidate must have strong technical know-how in the following areas: Filtration technologies, Resin technologies including Demineralisation and Softening plants, RO-EDI technology, Vapor Compression Distillation plants, Multicolumn Distillation plants, Pure Steam Generators, Water for Injection (WFI) systems, Purified Water (PW) systems, Storage & distribution systems, Clean utilities related to water systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage sales pipelines.
  • Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and handling technical-commercial discussions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
  • Analytical: Able to conduct technical and commercial analysis to close deals
  • Sales proficiency: Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Customer-centric approach: Focus on building long-term relationships.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and client-handling abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills.
