About Role

We are seeking a Technical Lead to lead critical charters within the search ranking team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art ranking platform that forms the core of our search technology. You will drive a critical charter of scaling and serving personalized search results, develop machine learnt ranking solutions for a variety of business problems. You will also be owning critical data infrastructure which powers all the core signals and algorithms in search. In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, product managers, and analysts to develop and deploy mission-critical projects. Responsibilities:

• Manage and coach the engineering team to own significant part of search ranking and data
• Participate in building the long term strategy and blueprint for the team
• Develop and manage standards for deliverables with focus on scalability, high availability and performance
• Drive architectural decisions and tradeoffs and deliver with speediness and quality
• Collaborate with stakeholders across functional boundaries and drive alignment.
• Be a guide and mentor to the team and drive the culture of innovation and accountability
• Own the key functional and non-functional metrics for the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of total experience and 2+ experience of managing small group of engineers with track record of successful deliverables
• Deep understanding of developing and maintaining high scale distributed systems with knowledge machine learning, learning to ranking algorithms
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Past experience of working in fields related to information retrieval is highly desirable
