Design and validate feed formulas to meet the nutritional needs of broilers, layers, and breeders.
Balance protein, energy, vitamins, and minerals for optimal growth and egg production.
Monitor raw materials (maize, soybean meal, additives) for safety and nutritional value.
Ensure compliance with FSSAI, BIS, and international feed standards.
Conduct laboratory tests for contaminants, toxins, and pathogens.
Advise on feed additives (probiotics, enzymes, antibiotics alternatives) to improve gut health.
Prevent nutritional deficiencies and related diseases (e.g., rickets, fatty liver, coccidiosis).
Support biosecurity measures to reduce disease outbreaks in poultry farms.
Work on innovative feed solutions (organic feed, antibiotic-free feed, fortified feed).
Conduct trials to measure feed efficiency, weight gain, and FCR (Feed Conversion Ratio).
Train sales and technical teams on feed benefits and usage.
Provide guidance to farmers on feeding schedules, storage, and handling.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Requirements
B.V.Sc & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry) – mandatory.
M.V.Sc. (Master of Veterinary Science) in Animal Nutrition / Poultry Science – preferred for senior roles.
Valid Veterinary Council registration/license to practice.
Skills Needed
Strong knowledge of poultry physiology, nutrition, and disease management.
Expertise in feed formulation software and lab testing.
Communication skills for farmer advisory and training.
Research aptitude for developing innovative feed solutions.
