Job Description

  • Implement and communicate spend decisions based on risk assessment and card member profiles
  • Organise limit updates as agreed with stakeholders such as ICS & CFR
  • Process and communicate decisions to EMEA credit teams
  • Recommend cancellation or suspension of spending privileges where required for card members and client programs
  • Work to the highest standards with a balanced delivery of both customer experience and shareholder value
  • Prepare and submit insurance claims
  • Build relationship with insurance partners to be able to deliver excellent results for American Express
  • Gathering the necessary documentation and providing a case summary to refer uncollectable merchant debit balances to our external collection agencies
  • Investigating queries from external agencies regarding referred debit balance cases
  • Reviewing bank statements to identify and allocate payments to the relevant merchant accounts
  • Managing and analyzing Long Term Reserves on insolvent merchants
  • Partner closely with Client Management groups, GMNS Risk, CFN, and Global Collections for Long-Term Reserve and External Agency queries
  • Work to the highest standards with a balanced delivery of both customer experience and shareholder value

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a credit related role
  • Ability to proactively seek out information
  • Have an exceptional eye for detail
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Strong numeric skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to take a professional approach to challenging situations
  • Understanding of customers financial arrangements and requirements

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in Corporate Credit area of business
  • Experience in the Merchant area of the business
  • System knowledge: Genesis, MCC GUI, MSP, GDM, CLIC
  • Knowledge of Credit related systems such as CSP, Globestar, CAS and others
