Team Leader – US Bookkeeping (Full-Time Opportunity)

We are hiring a Team Leader to manage and oversee a team delivering high-quality bookkeeping and accounting services to US-based clients.

This is a full-charge accounting and leadership role ideal for someone with a strong foundation in Indian accounting and the ability to manage teams, handle client communication, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.

Role Overview

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising bookkeeping operations, conducting financial reviews, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior team members. The work will span across industries such as Real Estate, SaaS, B2B Services, Marketing, Trading, and Manufacturing.

The role demands excellent communication, a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee bookkeeping activities in QuickBooks Online/Desktop
  • Review reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, undeposited funds, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Manage cleanup of books and review transaction categorizations from bank feeds
  • Finalize adjusting journal entries and review monthly/year-end financials
  • Oversee preparation and filing of payroll tax, sales tax, income tax, and estimated tax as applicable
  • Supervise invoicing, billing, A/P & A/R processes
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Lead, train, and support a team of junior bookkeepers
  • Serve as primary point of contact for US clients; take client calls and handle email communication
  • Liaise with external US CPAs and accountants
  • Collaborate with operational teams and provide real-time support

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Education: B.Com, M.Com, Inter CA, CMA, MBA, or Fresher CA
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years in Indian accounting or offshore bookkeeping
  • Prior experience managing team deliverables and client communication
  • Background in a CA firm or similar setup is an advantage
  • Skills:
  • Fluent English – spoken and written
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Desktop, and MS Excel
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to review, guide, and deliver under tight deadlines
