Team Leader Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Team Leader plays a critical supervisory role within Stellar Cinema, Gandhidham, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the cinema during their assigned shifts. The position requires hands-on management of staff, facilities, customer service, and health & safety protocols, maintaining the high standards expected by Stellar Cinema.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise daily cinema operations including ticketing, food & beverage counters, ushering, and auditorium readiness.
  • Ensure film screenings begin promptly and technical issues are reported and escalated immediately.
  • Manage shift transitions, ensuring smooth handovers and proper communication of operational updates.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and guide front-line staff during the shift.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to ensure operational targets and service standards are met.
  • Support the induction and on-the-job training of new staff members.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure guests receive excellent service and a consistently enjoyable moviegoing experience.
  • Address customer complaints, feedback, or escalations promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor lobby, auditoriums, restrooms, and all guest-access areas for cleanliness and order.

Health, Safety & Security

  • Conduct opening and closing checks, ensuring all health, safety, fire, and security procedures are followed.
  • Act as first point of contact in the event of emergencies or incidents.
  • Maintain daily compliance checklists and ensure reporting of safety or maintenance concerns.

Cash Handling & Administration

  • Supervise POS terminals and oversee accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Perform safe counts, till reconciliations, and complete end-of-shift documentation.
  • Report discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and unusual incidents to the General Manager.
  • Oversee accurate billing and cash management.
  • Assist in daily cash reconciliation and report discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels of concessions and report shortages.

Training & Development:

· Coordinate with projection, security, and housekeeping teams for smooth show operations.

· Assist in onboarding and training of new staff.

· Conduct briefings and refreshers on operational protocols and customer handling.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
