Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all payment operations to ensure tasks are completed within SLA, and internal and external inquiries are addressed with proper response.

  • Oversee multiple payment processing functions including ACH, wire transfers, checks and card payments as well as reconciliation of payment channels.

  • Supervise, schedule, and prioritise tasks for the Pay\-ops team members to meet departmental workload and scheduling needs.

  • Ensure SLAs, cut\-offs, and settlement timelines are met; proactively monitor queues, dashboards, and alerts.

  • Train, coach, monitor performance, conduct evaluations, and manage disciplinary actions for Pay\-ops team staff as necessary to achieve departmental goals.

  • Directly lead a team of Pay\-ops Analysts and serve as the escalation point for payment issues. Collaborate closely with internal teams (Compliance\ / AM\ / Technical\ / Engineering) and external partners (banks, vendors) to resolve issues swiftly.

  • Support Pay\-Ops Manager in identifying and executing new projects aimed at improving Pay\-ops operations and product offerings.

  • Drive operational excellence through SOPs, controls, and continuous improvement (Lean\/automation).

  • Prepare and present operational metrics, insights, and executive updates.

  • Maintain all the department\-related documentation like SOP\/Run\-books.

  • Create Process\/Payments flows for better understanding and reference.

  • Develop and manage capacity plans and resource management


    Requirements

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • A Bachelor\degree in any discipline.

    • The Candidate should have experience in leadership roles within the fin\-tech industry.

    • Total of 7\-10 years experience of relevant experience.

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Payment Operations at Priority.

    • Good understanding of the Banking and Payments industry.

    • Ability to understand end\-to end process flow, consider downstream impacts when decision making.

    • Ability to coordinate and organize work while meeting and handling multiple deadline processes.

    • Demonstrated ability to multi\-task and balance numerous activities simultaneously.

    • Be a team player.

    • Must have the ability to work independently.

    • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines.

    • Highly motivated and strong attention to detail.

    • Good knowledge of NACHA ACH guidelines, USD\/FX wire transfers, card payment and mobile checks processing.

    • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.

    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

    • Knowledge of TSYS, First Data systems a plus.

    • A postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus.
