ACI Switch Engineer About The Role : Position Overview:The ACI Switch Engineer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of payment processing systems using ACI's Base24 software. This role requires expertise in payment switch technologies, strong problem solving abilities, and a thorough understanding of the banking and financial services domain. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities:1. Switch Configuration & Maintenance:o Install, configure, and maintain ACI Base24 payment switch systems. o Manage application upgrades, patches, and software updates to ensure optimal performance. 2. System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:o Monitor transaction processing systems for performance, stability, and accuracy. o Diagnose and resolve issues related to the payment switch and associated systems within SLAs. 3. Integration & Deployment:o Integrate Base24 with core banking systems, card networks, and payment gateways. o Develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements. 4. Support Operations:o Provide Level 2/3 support for payment switch related issues. o Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve critical incidents. 5. Compliance & Security:o Ensure systems comply with industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS). o Implement security protocols to protect payment data and prevent fraud. 6. Documentation & Reporting:o Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and incident resolutions. o Generate reports on system performance and transaction trends. ________________________________________ Qualifications & Skills: Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience:o 5+ years of experience in ACI Base24 or similar payment switch technologies. o Hands on experience with Connex, ACI Base24 Classic or Base24 eps, and ATM/POS systems. Technical Expertise:o Strong knowledge of payment processing systems, ISO 8583 message formats, and EFT protocols. o Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++, or Java and Cloud o Familiarity with databases (e.g., Oracle, DB2) and operating systems (e.g., Unix/Linux). Domain Knowledge:o Deep understanding of banking, card payment systems, and merchant acquiring. o Experience with EMV, tokenization, and cryptographic security measures. Soft Skills:o Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. o Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
