Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Tally TDL Developer to design, develop, and implement custom solutions using Tally Definition Language (TDL) . The ideal candidate will have experience in customizing Tally Prime for business-specific needs, integrating third-party applications, and supporting end-users with technical issues related to TDL features. Key Responsibilities: Develop custom TDL programs, reports, and modules for Tally Prime as per client requirements. Modify and enhance Tally’s default behaviour by extending its functionalities using TDL. Create user-defined fields, vouchers, reports, and invoice formats. Work with the support and sales teams to understand client needs and provide TDL-based solutions. Integrate Tally with external applications, databases, and APIs when required. Test and troubleshoot developed TDL programs to ensure error-free operation. Document all customizations and maintain version control of TDL code. Provide technical assistance and training to end-users for TDL features. Stay updated with new Tally releases and evaluate the impact on existing customizations. Requirements: Strong knowledge of Tally Definition Language (TDL) . Hands-on experience with Tally Prime and its architecture. Understanding of accounting principles, GST, inventory, and business workflows. Knowledge of XML, ODBC, and JSON (for integrations) is an advantage. Experience in software development life cycle and version control. Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Good communication and documentation skills. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Computer Science, or related field. Preferred Skills: Experience with Tally Integration using APIs/Web Services . Understanding of Payroll , MIS Reporting , and Inventory Customization in Tally. Familiarity with ERP systems and their workflows. Knowledge of database tools and query languages (SQL preferred).
