System Engineer

As a System Engineer at our company, your role will involve overseeing the maintenance of our lab environment to ensure the smooth functioning of all hardware systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Maintain, manage, and organize lab equipment and systems to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. - Perform routine hardware inspections, troubleshooting, and basic repairs of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. - Install, configure, and update operating systems, software, and hardware components as required. - Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability of lab infrastructure. - Maintain inventory of lab hardware, spare parts, and tools. - Provide technical support for lab users, addressing system or hardware-related issues promptly. - Ensure compliance with safety and IT security standards within the lab environment. - Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to support project requirements and lab operations. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field. - Proven experience in hardware maintenance, system support, or IT infrastructure. - Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking basics. - Ability to diagnose and repair hardware issues efficiently. - Good organizational skills with attention to detail for lab management. - Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred skills that would be beneficial for the role include: - Experience working in a lab or testing environment. - Knowledge of basic networking setup and troubleshooting.
