Job Summary

S Vyasa University is looking for a proactive and skilled System Administrator with experience across Windows, Linux, Mac, and ChromeOS platforms. The candidate will provide L1 technical support, maintain IT infrastructure, and assist in network-related activities. Experience in Smart / Digital Classroom setup is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 technical support for systems running Windows, Linux, MacOS, and ChromeOS.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot OS, software applications, and hardware.
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure performance and reliability.
• Manage user accounts, system access, and security permissions.
• Assist in basic network administration—LAN/WAN, routers, switches, WiFi, etc.
• Perform routine updates, antivirus checks, and patch management.
• Set up and support Smart/Digital Classrooms, ensuring seamless system and device functionality.
• Troubleshoot and manage projectors, A/V equipment, display units, and connectivity.
• Maintain IT inventory, documentation, and service logs.
• Coordinate with external vendors and AMC partners for issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in system administration or IT support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, MacOS & ChromeOS environments.
• Basic understanding of computer networks and protocols.
• Good hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and handle on-ground technical issues efficiently.

Added Advantage

• Experience in network administration (routing, switching, firewalls).
• Hands-on experience in Smart/Digital Classroom setup & maintenance.
• Certifications like CCNA, MCSA, RHCE will be a plus.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience as System Admin or IT Support Engineer (preferably in an educational institution).
• Proficient in Windows and Linux OS environments.
• Basic knowledge of LMS platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard, or Google Classroom.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices at L1 level.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in coordination with academic and administrative staff.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals or equivalent
• Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) or CCNA (Basic knowledge)
• CompTIA A+ / Linux+
