Key Responsibilities
Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) and/or RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu Linux).
Virtualization: Hands-on administration of virtualization platforms, primarily VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V.
Storage Management: Configure, monitor, and manage enterprise storage arrays (SAN/NAS, Fibre Channel/iSCSI) and perform capacity planning.
Backup & DR: Manage and execute data backup and recovery operations using enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault). Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) testing.
Patching & Security: Perform regular OS patching, firmware updates, and system hardening to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex server hardware failures, OS performance issues, and storage access problems.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in Server and Storage Administration.
Education: BE/B.Tech/MCA from a recognized institution.
Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems. Proven experience with VMware/Hyper-V and enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Dell EMC, HPE, NetApp).
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA/MCSE, VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCSA) are highly preferred.
Skills: Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell/Bash) for automation of routine tasks.
