Sustainability Manager

As a seasoned ESG Consultant at Outsized, you will be a key player in enhancing ESG practices across a mid-sized private equity fund and its portfolio companies in India. Your expertise will directly impact the fund's sustainability, governance, and compliance strategies, contributing to global ESG best practices. Here is what you can expect in this role: Role Overview: - Develop and implement ESG frameworks, policies, and monitoring systems to drive sustainable practices. - Collect, track, and analyze ESG data from portfolio companies, including conducting field visits for thorough assessments. - Provide ESG insights for due diligence and risk assessments, supporting informed decision-making. - Prepare investor and LP reports, ensuring compliance with global ESG standards for transparent communication. - Collaborate with DFIs, LPs, and portfolio leadership to drive ESG initiatives and foster sustainable growth. - Stay updated on evolving ESG regulations and industry practices to ensure compliance and proactive adjustments for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Bachelors/Masters degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Sustainability, or related fields. - 4-8 years of experience in ESG, sustainability consulting, corporate responsibility, or compliance. - Background with leading institutions would be advantageous. - Strong understanding of ESG reporting standards, frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. - Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively communicate findings to senior leadership and investors. - Experience in sustainable finance, risk & compliance, or ratings is highly desirable.
