What would you do
In this role, you will be supporting the demand forecasting and planning process, ensuring that supply and demand are aligned to meet business goals. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain, to develop and manage demand plans that optimize inventory levels, reduce stockouts, and minimize excess inventory.This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and experience with demand planning best practices.
What are we looking for
Forecast and OrderFinalize the range, set baseline demand excluding promotions, generate a statistical forecast, align with cost assumptions, and pre-tag promotions to enable a ready-to-execute seasonal forecastAssign promotion forecast based on past sales dataReview sales vs forecast for promotion lines, determine promotion changes, tag promotion changes in Demand Planner and amend forecast based on changes madeAssist Merchandising team in implementing aspects of the category strategy to deliver KPIs including sales, profit, stock, and availabilityOwn and manage category/range & SKU level forecasts to ensure sales, profit availability are optimizedUnderstand and use relevant systems in the management of intake, availability and stockResponsible for maintaining accurate records of commitment to providing stock intake and output forecastsLiaise with the sourcing team and directly with brands and suppliers to ensure the optimal commitment and intake position is achievedWork with the supply teams to ensure that stock and availability targets are metExperience:o5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory roleoProven experience in demand forecasting, S&OP processes, and inventory management within a fast-paced, high-volume environmentoFamiliarity with ERP and demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar tools)
Skills:oStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insightsoExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and present data to senior leadershipoStrong attention to detail and accuracy in demand forecasting and reportingPreferred
QualificationsExperience working in a high-volume, dynamic supply chain or retail environmentUnderstanding of key demand planning metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, stockouts, fill rates)
