Job Description

Job Role: Supply Chain Engineer - Packaging & Logistics

Experience: 6 to 8 Years

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

Drive export packaging efficiency, cost reduction, and DFL initiatives.
Approve logistics & packaging for new supply flows and monitor milestones.
Ensure compliance with cost, quality, ergonomics, and delivery objectives.
Evaluate and implement packaging solutions and strategies (Corrugated, Wood, Steel, RSR, Pooling, Leasing).
Benchmark packaging and logistics against OEM and industry standards.
Track monthly Volume & Cost per Car with variance analysis.
Develop prototype packaging; coordinate validation with Manufacturing, Quality, and Suppliers.
Improve Container Fill Ratio and optimize material usage.
Execute mass production packaging plans and monitor industrialization.
Manage digital/physical packaging trials and validations.
Provide logistics cost inputs during supplier evaluation and pricing.
Conduct supplier and vendor visits as needed.
