Job Description

You will be responsible for ensuring that the staff works cohesively as a team, maintaining the grooming and attire standards of the staff, and addressing any deficiencies. Your role will involve interacting with guests, other team members, and various departments to ensure that guest needs are met efficiently. You will be required to respond to and accommodate special arrangements for banquet events. Setting up banquet areas/rooms to ensure cleanliness, proper furniture/equipment placement, and inspecting table setups for cleanliness, neatness, and compliance with group requirements and company standards will be part of your duties. Documenting relevant information in the appropriate department logbook is essential. Assisting the management in various aspects such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees will be a key part of your role. You will also be expected to cultivate positive working relationships, support the team in achieving common goals, and adhere to company, safety, and security policies and procedures. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, respecting the confidentiality of proprietary information, and ensuring the protection of company assets are vital aspects of this position. Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guest service needs, and expressing genuine appreciation to guests are crucial components of providing exceptional service. Requirements include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects of varying weights. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and physical agility are necessary for manipulating objects and navigating different surfaces and terrains. Preferred qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, at least 1 year of related work experience, and at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
