Role Purpose

The Study Abroad Counsellor will guide students aspiring to pursue higher education overseas by providing accurate information, personalized counselling, and end-to-end support through the admissions process. The role demands both empathy and sales acumen, helping students make informed decisions while meeting enrollment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Counsel students and parents on study-abroad opportunities across destinations like the USA, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia.
  • Evaluate student profiles and recommend suitable universities, courses, and scholarship options.
  • Guide students through documentation, applications, and offer acceptance processes.
  • Maintain consistent communication through WhatsApp, email, and phone to ensure a smooth student experience.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment and revenue targets.
  • Maintain detailed records of leads, follow-ups, and conversions in CRM systems.
  • Stay updated on global education trends, admission timelines, and country-specific requirements.
  • Build strong rapport with students, parents, and institutional partners to enhance trust and referrals.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience:

    1-3 years in Study Abroad / Overseas Education Counselling.
  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in any discipline (would be great, if in: education, management, communication).
  • Knowledge:

    Good understanding of at least two or more of the following markets - UK, Ireland, Australia, USA, Germany, France.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication (English, Tamil essential).
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
    • Target-oriented mindset with sales and follow-up skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and email communication.
    • Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple student cases efficiently.
