Role Purpose The Study Abroad Counsellor will guide students aspiring to pursue higher education overseas by providing accurate information, personalized counselling, and end-to-end support through the admissions process. The role demands both empathy and sales acumen, helping students make informed decisions while meeting enrollment goals. Key Responsibilities Counsel students and parents on study-abroad opportunities across destinations like the USA, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia. Evaluate student profiles and recommend suitable universities, courses, and scholarship options. Guide students through documentation, applications, and offer acceptance processes. Maintain consistent communication through WhatsApp, email, and phone to ensure a smooth student experience. Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment and revenue targets. Maintain detailed records of leads, follow-ups, and conversions in CRM systems. Stay updated on global education trends, admission timelines, and country-specific requirements. Build strong rapport with students, parents, and institutional partners to enhance trust and referrals. Required Skills & Experience Experience: 1-3 years in Study Abroad / Overseas Education Counselling. Education: Bachelors degree in any discipline (would be great, if in: education, management, communication). Knowledge: Good understanding of at least two or more of the following markets - UK, Ireland, Australia, USA, Germany, France. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication (English, Tamil essential). Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Target-oriented mindset with sales and follow-up skills. Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and email communication. Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple student cases efficiently. We are hiring an Education Loan Counselor to support students applying for study-abroad loans. The role involves coordinating with banks (SBI, HDFC Credila, ICICI, Axis, Auxilo, InCred, Prodigy, etc. ) , managing documentation, following up on applications, and ensuring smooth disbursement. Candidates with prior experience in loan processing, bank coordination, NBFCs, DSA networks, or study-abroad loan support will be preferred. Role & responsibilities Loan Processing Guide students on education loan eligibility and required documents. Evaluate financial papers (ITR, salary slips, collateral papers) for loan readiness. Support students in selecting suitable banks or NBFCs based on their profile. Bank Coordination Coordinate with multiple banks (SBI, HDFC Credila, ICICI, Axis, Auxilo, InCred, etc.) for loan applications. Submit documents, monitor application status, and follow up for approvals. Maintain strong relationships with bank loan officers. Student Communication Explain loan terms, interest rates, margin money, and repayment structure. Keep students updated through every stage of application, sanction and disbursement. Operations & Reporting Maintain Google Sheets/CRM records of the loan pipeline. Ensure accuracy of documentation uploaded. Update the counseling and admissions teams on loan progress. Preferred candidate profile Must-Have 14 years of experience in education loans, bank loans, NBFC loan processing, DSA operations, or study abroad counseling . Strong understanding of secured & unsecured education loans . Familiarity with bank processes, turnaround times, and documentation rules. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to handle multiple loan cases simultaneously. Good to Have Experience with SBI RLOS, ICICI portal, and IT-based loan systems. Basic understanding of overseas studies (USA, UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada). Knowledge of credit underwriting basics.
